Hello, my name is Paul Murphy. I specialise in front-end web development and I currently work as a web interface developer at New Mind in Liverpool, a leading provider of e-tourism solutions in the UK.
In July 2010, I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in Multimedia Systems BSc (Hons) SW and I previously worked at MBL Design during the sandwich year of the course.
Whilst working at MBL I fulfilled the Web Designer role, working on site designs but later working on front end markup and styling. Another aspect of the Graphic Designer role was the use of 3DS Max to create highly detailed 3D visualisations of objects and scenes, mainly for the UK the cosmetics industry.
I think the web is brilliant, which is why I initially chose my degree and why I love designing and building for the web! Outside of the web one of my other interests is photography, you can see some of my snaps on flickr. I’m also an avid Liverpool FC fan.
I’m currently rebuilding this site in ASP.Net MVC3 + Razor with a fresh new theme using CSS3 Media queries, kind of killing two birds with one stone – nice new site and some extra development knowledge, be sure to check back soon!
